BIO-MANAGEMENT OF FUNGAL LEAF SPOT OF TOMATO (SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM L.) USING INDIGENOUS TRICHODERMA ISOLATES

چکیده

One of the main obstacles to feeding world is fungal leaf spot disease, which has a negative impact on plants' photosynthetic areas and significantly lowers crop quality output. To manage fungi that pose serious hazard both humans environment, various chemical fungicides are utilized. The goal current study was determine whether local isolates three Trichoderma spp. (Trichoderma viride, harzianum, asperellum) had any antagonistic effects in vitro against pathogenic Alternaria alternata, Fusarium solani, oxysporum, Aspergillus flavus, sydowii, sp. viride showed greatest growth inhibition all tested fungi, followed by harzianum asperellum. It shown species strongly inhibited mycelial pathogens. Compared other isolated alternata more, whereas oxysporum least amount observed. These findings imply can function as an effective biocontrol agent responsible for tomato disease.

Hormonal changes during salinity-induced leaf senescence in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.)

Leaf senescence is one of the most limiting factors to plant productivity under salinity. Both the accumulation of specific toxic ions (e.g. Na+) and changes in leaf hormone relations are involved in the regulation of this process. Tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L. cv Moneymaker) were cultivated for 3 weeks under high salinity (100 mM NaCl) and leaf senescence-related parameters were studi...

Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) using the expansin 10 (CsEXP10) gene.

The cucumber expansin 10 (CsEXP10) gene was previously cloned from young cucumber fruits but its role has not been defined. To determine the role of this gene in plant growth and development, a CsEXP10 gene transformation system was established. The open reading frame of the gene was inserted behind the CaMV35S promoter of vector pCAMBIA1301, and the construct was introduced into tomato plants ...

In-Vitro Organogenesis in Tomato (Solanum Lycopersicum) Using Kinetin

This research was undertaken for optimizing simple and reproducible protocol on indirect regeneration in tomato using kinetin. The effect of kinetin for efficient callus production was studied and its results were interpreted. Hypocotyls and cotyledons were used as explants and effect on callus derived regeneration was greatly influenced by addition of kinetin in media. The individually positio...

Assessment of genetic variation in Bulgarian tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) genotypes, using fluorescent SSR genotyping platform

Genetic variability in modern crops is limited due to domestication and selection processes. Genetic variation in eight Bulgarian tomato varieties and breeding lines (variety Plovdivska karotina, variety IZK Alya, L21β, L53β, L1140, L1116, L975, L984) differing in their morphological and biochemical composition was assessed using a highly efficient and low-cost fluorescent simple sequence repea...

Determination by near infrared microscopy of the nitrogen and carbon content of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) leaf powder

Near infrared microscopy (NIRM) has been developed as a rapid technique to predict the chemical composition of foods, reduce analytical costs and time and ease sample preparation. In this study, NIRM has been evaluated as an alternative to classical chemical analysis to determine the nitrogen and carbon content of small samples of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) leaf powder. Near infrared spec...
